Meet the Team

Erin C PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Owner & Physical Therapist

Erin is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with experience in a wide variety of orthopedic, women’s health, and neurological settings. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University.

Erin is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Pelvic Floor physical therapist. She also has training in Vestibular Rehab and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Erin’s passion is using both her orthopedic and pelvic floor skills towards helping women during pregnancy and postpartum. She has also enjoyed paying it forward by serving as a Clinical Instructor for DPT students and was honored by the DPT faculty at the University of Illinois at Chicago with their 2017 SK Campbell Award for Excellence in Clinical Instruction.

As a Physical Therapist and fitness professional, Erin’s goal is to empower you to move, feel, and perform better through an individualized treatment program catered towards your specific goals. Her mission is to not only help you feel better but to also give you the tools to take on your everyday physical challenges without limitations.When Erin is not working, she is perfecting the handstand, staying active with friends, finding her next favorite podcast, and counting down the days until ski and snowboard season.

Rachel PT, DPT

Physical Therapist & Clinic Manager

Rachel Schramm is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with years of experience in both orthopedic and neurological settings. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University. She is well versed in the treatment of post-operative orthopedic procedures, acute sports injuries, sprains, strains, back and neck pain. Rachel also has a strong background in working with individuals post-stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury, as well as, other neurologic conditions like multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Rachel is dedicated to providing high quality care for restoring function, fostering ability and encouraging physical activity…while still having fun. As a lifelong athlete and six time triathlete, she understands the commitment, determination and mental fortitude required to follow a successful training program.

When Rachel is not working, she enjoys traveling and staying active with her husband, snuggling with her rescue pups (Taco and Tequila) and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Erin l PT, DPT

Physical Therapist & Pelvic Therapist

Erin earned her Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. At Michigan, she studied the intersections between gender and health, which was what fueled her desire to treat pelvic floor dysfunction and women’s health as a physical therapist. 

As a practicing clinician, Erin has focused on treating individuals across the gender spectrum with pelvic floor dysfunction. She has additional certification in treating pregnant and postpartum women, which are some of her favorite patients to work with! As a runner herself, Erin also loves guiding runners through their rehabilitation and performing run analysis in the clinic. Her approach to physical therapy is research-driven and emphasizes collaboration and goal setting with her patients.

Even though she is a Chicago native, one of Erin’s favorite things to do is explore the neighborhoods, bars, and restaurants around the city. Outside of the clinic you can find her running, enjoying live music, and traveling whenever she gets the chance! 

Shelby PT, DPT, OCS

Lead Physical Therapist – West Town Location

Shelby earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the National Physical Therapy Honor Society. Shelby has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, especially post-surgical rehabilitation, ACL, hip impingement with labral repair, conservative shoulder management, and return to sport. She believes in a holistic treatment approach to patient care in order to address movement dysfunctions.

Shelby is committed to providing evidence-based practices to consistently deliver the best patient outcomes. She is a life-long learner who is certified in BStrong Blood Flow Restriction and Selective Functional Movement Assessment. As a marathon runner herself, she understands the importance of motivation, preparation, and goal setting. 

Outside of the clinic Shelby enjoys running along the lakefront trail, trying new brunch restaurants, riding her Peloton, and traveling to visit friends and family.

Taylor PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness and in Psychology from Canisius College. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!). Taylor is well versed in a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and preforms Trigger Point Dry Needling as a part of her practice. 

Taylor is devoted to providing high quality care and has a passion for helping people to achieve their goals and get back to living their best life!

Outside of the clinic, Taylor enjoys being active especially running, yoga, and going to spin classes. She also loves to travel and try new restaurants in the city!

Bianca ms, otr/l

Occupational Therapist & Pelvic Therapist

Bianca earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in New York, NY. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University. Bianca has experience treating a wide variety of diagnoses in musculoskeletal impairments, neurodegenerative diseases, neurological impairments, mental health, and pediatrics. She has advanced training in pelvic health through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. When working with her patients, she is able to provide support for bowel, bladder, sexual, and/or pregnancy/postpartum related issues.

Bianca provides the highest quality of patient care in order to empower her patients to be their strongest and most confident selves! Bianca utilizes interventions to enhance participation in activities that support daily life at home, work, school, and in the community. She is an energetic occupational therapist with a passion for assisting patients in achieving their goals to lead an optimal and fulfilling life. Bianca has found her work as an occupational therapist to be incredibly rewarding. 

When not in the clinic, Bianca enjoys Pilates, baking, and traveling with friends and family!

Helena

Office Manager & Yoga Instructor

Helena joined the West Town PT team in November 2018 and has ever since been our rock keeping this clinic running smoothly. Helena is your go-to for all insurance questions and scheduling needs. Her goal is to always make sure you have a positive experience at West Town PT and that includes making sure we are fully stocked with coffee and La Croix!

After graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management from Western Michigan University, Helena worked at The Glimmerglass Festival in production management gaining a strong administrative background in the arts, which has transferred perfectly to her role here at West Town PT.

Helena continues to freelance in Chicago as a stage manager, director and producer working with Windy City Playhouse and producing new works by local playwrights. When not working at the clinic or theatre, Helena enjoys yoga, exploring her neighborhood, and getting to Lake Michigan as much as possible!
