Expert, one-on-one care for injuries, chronic pain, and getting back to the things you love.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy in Chicago
Orthopedic physical therapy is the foundation of what we do at West Town Physical Therapy. Whether you rolled your ankle last week, have been dealing with knee pain for years, or are trying to get back to running after an injury — our Doctors of Physical Therapy will find the source of the problem and build a plan to fix it.
We treat the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions — from acute sports injuries to chronic pain to post-surgical recovery. Every patient is seen one-on-one for their entire session. No aides. No assembly-line care. Just you and your PT, working on what actually matters.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is this different from other PT clinics?
Every session at West Town PT is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy for the full visit — never double-booked, never handed off to an aide. We spend the time to find the actual cause of your pain and build a plan around your specific goals, lifestyle, and timeline.
Do I need imaging (MRI, X-ray) before coming in?
No. In most cases you can come in and be evaluated without imaging. Your therapist will complete a thorough physical examination and can advise whether imaging would be helpful. Many patients see great results without it.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. You can book directly online or call 773-729-2551. Illinois is a direct access state, meaning you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral.
Will my insurance cover it?
We are in-network for BCBS PPO plans. For patients with other insurance, we are happy to provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Contact us at 773-729-2551 or info@westtownpt.com to discuss your coverage before your first visit.
How long will it take to feel better?
It depends on the condition, how long you’ve had it, and your goals. Many patients feel meaningful improvement within 4–6 sessions. At your initial evaluation, your therapist will give you a realistic, honest timeline based on your specific presentation.
Can you help with chronic pain I've had for years?
Yes. Chronic pain is one of our specialties. Even if you’ve been told to “just live with it” or tried other treatments without success, a thorough biomechanical assessment often reveals contributing factors that haven’t been addressed. We’ll be straight with you about what PT can and can’t do for your situation.
Stop managing your pain. Start solving it.
